Description:
ADRENOMEDULLIN (ADM) Since its discovery in 1993, adrenomedullin, a vasoprotective hormone, has gained considerable attention as a multifunctional regulator of the vascular system.
In the circulatory system, adrenomedullin closes the gaps between endothelial cells, preventing vascular leakage.
As reported in numerous scientific publications, adrenomedullin (bio-ADM®) is a validated biomarker and therapeutic target. Elevated levels of bio-ADM® found in patients' blood samples undoubtedly indicate a decline in vascular integrity, independent of inflammation or other medical conditions. This highlights the need for a specific therapy targeting this pathophysiological condition.
