Pacemaker therapy is a well-established clinical application of electronic technology. Billions of heart cells work together to create a synchronised function through a wave-like propagation and amplification of electrical activation during each heartbeat. Our technology exploits this natural phenomenon to harvest electrical energy from multiple points, which can compensate for any deficiencies in the functioning of the electrical organs (see diagram).
Our product is an implantable semiconductor chip with over 100 electrical connection points in the heart tissue that works without leads. Through these connection points, it provides a large number of interchangeable interfaces to the heart tissue.
