Thought Technology's new synergy solution software: What BioSignals can tell you about group dynamics

Thought Technology Ltd is pleased to announce the update of its Synergy Solution software for use with its eVu-TPS® triple physiological sensor.

Family counsellors, marriage/couples therapists and those interested in group dynamics can now monitor the bio-signals of groups of users to gain a quick insight into their perceptions of events. Imagine if a couple's counsellor could see the effect of one partner's words on the other. What if they could measure each person's level of engagement in the therapeutic process and then tailor their methods to encourage responsiveness and discourage 'fight' responses before they begin?

This example is just one of the many applications of the new Synergy Solution software used in conjunction with Thought Technology's eVu TPS® wireless sensor, which collects and analyses physiological data. Attached to a single finger, the wireless sensor measures three stress metrics: skin conductance, heart rate variability and temperature, and displays the collected data on-screen in real time. With this information, clients can practice self-regulation in competitive or cooperative settings/games, learning to better manage stress and build resilience.

The Synergy solution is designed to be a simple, attractive and fun data monitoring and self-regulation training solution for up to 4 users. The suite consists of 3 easy-to-understand recording sessions:

Data Monitoring - which allows the clinician to examine feedback from different modalities and make their own observations.

Cooperative Biofeedback Self-Regulation Training - where subjects practice self-regulation as a group. All users have their own specific threshold-based training goal. Individual feedback is given to each user when they reach their individual goal and global feedback is given when all users reach their goals simultaneously.
